Avalon armoured fiber cables (Multitube or Unitube designs) are used for 10Gbps networks to meet the
requirement of continuous growing of high data rates. The OM3 fiber cable has been developed according
to the latest 10 Gbit standards and allows the data transmission over a distance up to max 300m at 850nm.
The mechanical strength is provided by the corrugated steel tape and glass yarn strength member adding
extra shield against rodent and compression for direct burial application. The outer jacket is flame retardant
and Low Smoke Zero Halogen. The Tube encloses multiple coated fibers that are surrounded by thixotropic
gel compound that protects the cable from moisture in external environment.
